Applicants are selected from a diverse population of eighth grade students in each of the twenty-one municipalites in Union County. Applicants to any of the Union County Vocational-Technical Schools Academies may apply for admission in the fall of the applicant's eighth grade year. The following criteria will be considered for admission:
- Grade point average
(7th & 1st MP 8th grade)
- Standardized Test Scores
- Two Admissions Assessments
(Mathematics & Language Arts)
The admissions process is as follows:
Attendance at an information session
Submissions of an application and transcripts to the admissions office
Admissions examination - TBD
Notification of acceptance - on or about April 1st

UCVTS will hold mandatory Information Sessions this fall for prospective students for the Union County Academy for Allied Health, Academy for Information Technology, Magnet High School, Academy for Performing Arts and the Union County Vocational-Technical High School.
