Our Philosophy

The Union County Vocational-Technical School District is dedicated to advancing the learning and well being of all students. A quality learning experience is provided that fosters democratic value, risk taking and a love of learning. We are committed to developing student career decision making and confidence, character, a sensitivity to the environment and diversity are taught and modeled by all. Our faculty guides students to understand the competing demands and responsibilities that are part of the world of work and to embrace a practice of life-long learning. The Board of Education, administration, faculty and staff of the Union County Vocational-Technical School District are committed to providing for the occupational training needs of county residents. We seek to meet the needs of secondary and adult students as well as those of business and industry. In order to facilitate a successful transition from school to career, collaborative partnerships are developed and maintained with community, businesses and industry and post-secondary institutions. The district’s intent is to provide students with educational opportunities to acquire marketable skills necessary to enter into and compete in a constantly changing, technologically advanced labor market.
