Step One.

Eligible candidates will receive a letter in the mail informing them that they are eligible to apply for membership into the National Honor Society (NHS).  This letter of eligibility is based on scholarship only and the other three criteria: leadership, character, and service will be considered in the application.

    Step Two.

Eligible students will meet with the advisor and review the application process.  Applications will be due by a date specified by the advisor.   The application consists of administrative information, co-curricular activities, leadership positions, service activities, outside community activities, work experience, a personal statement, and a letter of recommendation.  Leadership, service, and character are defined here.

    Step Three.

Applications that have met the deadline will be reviewed by the Faculty Council.  A student must receive a majority vote to be accepted for membership.

    Step Four.

Accepted students will be notified by a letter of acceptance.
