• The health care industry is predicted to be among the fastest growing fields in the next decade. Students who have an interest in a health-related career in patient care should consider enrolling in this program. This two-year program will prepare students to become a CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE (CNA) AND A HOME HEALTH AIDE (HHA). Students will have a combination of classroom and clinical instruction and learn practical skills such as taking a patient’s temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate and blood pressure. Classroom topics covered in the program will include basic nursing skills, nutrition, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, communication skills and the legal and ethical aspects of patient’s rights.

In order to become certified, the student must pass both the written and practical components of the Certified Nurse Aide exam.
