• The SUPERMARKET TECHNOLOGY program is designed to introduce students to the various aspects and career opportunities associated with the retail food industry. Students receive instruction in the computer operations used in the food industry, accounting and bookkeeping, customer relations, food merchandising, purchasing and ordering, inventory and warehousing, promotions, sanitation and safety, effective communications skills, production and departmental operations. Along with the academic requirements of the program, "hands on" training is provided in UCTECH’s own fully operational supermarket. In addition, SUPERMARKET TECHNOLOGY students receive "hands on" experience by shadowing employees in a local supermarket.
     
    Job placement assistance is available during training and upon completion of the program.
